Thanks to a community that views education as one of its highest priorities
and to dedicated parents, CUHSD students are the beneficiaries of countless volunteer hours and
monetary support from a variety of groups and organizations. Volunteers have contributed countless
hours of service, sharing generously of their talents and skills in a broad range of programs and
services.
Our volunteers play an invaluable role in our students' education and development. There are many
ways to get involved with our schools. Volunteers make a difference in our student's lives.
Our schools need volunteers to help with a wide variety of activities, such as:
- Office
- Library
- Career Center
- Newsletters
- Hospitality
- Grad Night
- Parent Associations
- Committees
- Booster Groups for Athletics, Performing Arts and Clubs
To find out how you can help, contact the school you are interested in.
H&SC (Home & School Club) and PTSA – Parent Teacher Student Associations
The District is especially appreciative of the work and support from the H&SCs and PTAs, and support
Booster groups at each of the schools. These groups support students and teachers in classroom
activities and manage school events, services and communications. Contact your school for more
information about meetings and activities.
Finger Printing and Tuberculosis Screening for Volunteers
Volunteers in public schools must be screened every four years for
possible exposure to tuberculosis. Contact the school where you
are volunteering for information.
