Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, The Campbell Union High
School District has served our community with distinction for over
100 years. Our focus is on making education personal – acknowledging
the individuality of each student, and preparing each for the unique
future he or she will choose.
- We serve over 7,700 students at five campuses: Branham, Del Mar, Leigh, Prospect
and Westmont High Schools. Our sixth site, Boynton High School, is an alternative school
serving a variety of special needs in our community. Camden Community Day School is our newest site, focusing on at-risk youth.
- Our student population is approximately 4 % African-American, 12 % Asian, 55% Caucasian, 2 % Filipino, 23 % Hispanic, .01% Native American, and .8% Pacific Islander, reflecting the well-known
diversity of our community.
- The Campbell Union High School District boasts a long-standing record of excellence.
All five of our comprehensive sites are Distinguished Schools, and one has earned the highly acclaimed
National Blue Ribbon honor. All six sites are fully accredited by the Western Association
of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our 550 committed employees are committed to the furtherance
of this achievement; we make a significant investment each year in the professional growth
and development of teachers and instructional service personnel to continue to raise the bar.
- The Campbell Union High School District is blessed with exceptional parent support,
expressed through numerous parent organizations including Home & School, PTSA, and Booster
Clubs at each of our sites.
- Our district schools sponsor a range of cultural activities, including an annual Art
Show, Dramafest, and Music Festival. We have also built strong ties to the community,
and in particular to city and country agencies, to create a safe school district. We have
been awarded the "What Parents Want Award" from SchoolMatch, the nation's largest
independent school selection consulting firm.
The district is well positioned for continued excellence. With the
passage of our recent parcel tax and the conclusion of our first
phase of bond projects, the fiscal, administrative and educational
delivery systems of the district are all aligned for success.
