Offering a well-rounded education through a rich and comprehensive extracurricular program, Campbell Union High School District has served students in the communities of San Jose, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Santa Clara and Monte Sereno for more than 100 years.
We're home to five California Distinguished Schools, a National Blue Ribbon school, a highly acclaimed International Baccalaureate program, and a model continuation high school with a 20:1 student to teacher ratio.
Our focus is on making education personal and relevant to our students – acknowledging the individuality of each student – and preparing them for a future of their own choosing.
- CUHSD serves over 7,700 students at five comprehensive campuses: Branham, Del Mar, Leigh, Prospect and Westmont High Schools. Our sixth site, Boynton High School, is an alternative school serving a variety of special needs in our community and was awarded the California Model School award.
- Our student population is approximately 4 % African-American, 12 % Asian, 55% Caucasian, 2 % Filipino, 23 % Hispanic, .01% Native American, and .8% Pacific Islander, reflecting the well-known diversity of our community.
- The Campbell Union High School District boasts a long-standing record of excellence. All five of our comprehensive sites are Distinguished Schools, and one has earned the highly acclaimed National Blue Ribbon honor. All six sites are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our 550 committed employees are committed to the furtherance of this achievement; we make a significant investment each year in the professional growth and development of teachers and instructional service personnel to continue to raise the bar.
The Campbell Union High School District is blessed with exceptional parent support, expressed through numerous parent organizations including Home & School Club or PTSA, and Booster Clubs at each of our sites.
Our district schools sponsor a range of cultural activities, including an annual Art Show, Dramafest, and Music Festival. We have also built strong ties to the community, and in particular to city and country agencies, to create a safe school district.
The district is well positioned for continued excellence. With the passage of our parcel tax and the conclusion of our bond projects, the fiscal, administrative and educational delivery systems of the district are all aligned for success.
