Leigh High School is the largest facility in the District. Constructed in 1960, it is a finger plan school with a standard set of exterior and organizational amenities. It includes the full array of interior features current at the time including extensive tack and board surface, daylight on two sides of the classroom with enhanced north light and positive circulation and adjacencies.

After a substantial addition in 1968, Leigh has the largest classroom count. It also has the most generous site in the District. As a result of this size, Leigh has developed a wide range of program opportunities that have affected the needs assessment for the campus.

At the same time, certain facilities at Leigh have limited opportunities due to

site and space constraints. In particular; the Library and Administrative facilities are impacted by site constraints and have little opportunity for localized enhancement. Leigh has little need for additional classrooms, particularly as Branham has absorbed some of the student load.
