periods may NOT LEAVE DURING BREAK.

Attendance
Regular attendance is required. One day of absence in summer school
is equivalent to five days of absence during the regular school
year, and two tardies equal one absence. Students are only allowed
two or three absences (depending upon units taken) and will automatically
be dropped on the third absence,
the sixth tardy, or the combination of absences and tardies. Semester
course - 5 units (One absence allowed, and student will be dropped on
the second absence.) Year long course - 10 units (Two absences allowed,
and student will be dropped with the third absence.) Regular
attendance is necessary, and students are asked not to enroll if vacation
plans, summer camps, etc. will interfere with attendance.
A student not in class on the first day of summer school
will be considered a NO SHOW and will be dropped from summer school.

Registration
Registration will be conducted from March 3 to May 9, 2008. All
enrollment cards must be signed by the parent or guardian and approved
by the high school guidance advisor. Students registering for special
education courses must have the approval of the special education
department chairperson at their high school. ELD registrations must
be signed by Nguyen Anh Cang, District Bilingual Cultural Specialist.
The completed enrollment card is to be returned to the regular
high school as soon as possible. Campbell Union High School District
attempts to balance enrollment and course offerings, so
there is no guarantee or commitment of summer school site assignments.
Once late registration is completed and information is entered,
students will receive their summer schedule indicating their enrolled
courses and assigned school site. If there is a problem with their
schedule or you need to enroll in summer school, students will have an opportunity to come in on the week
before summer school (usually Tuesday and Wednesday of that week)
according to the following schedule:
Branham: Tuesday, June 17 -- 8:00 AM - Noon
Westmont: Wedneday, June 18 -- 8:00 AM - Noon
Any student wishing to add a summer school course after May 9 will be put on a waiting list. They will be
notified on the first day of summer school if there is room in the
course.
The Government/Economics course may be offered at only one site.
Students enrolled in that course will take all of their courses
at that site.
