| Wireless Acceptable Use Policy
I. Introduction:
Wireless service provides up to 54Mbps WiFi Wireless access around all
Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) school sites. The wireless
network is available to any staff and student with a network Username &
Password.
II. Technical Information:
Wireless connections offer speeds up to 54Mbps via WiFi (WPA)
802.11a/b/g and the only protocol supported is TCP/IP via DHCP. Users must
ensure that their equipment matches this configuration. Technology
services does not guarantee connectivity with all manufacturers’
equipment.
III. Service Support:
Technology services will provides limited technical support to users
connecting to the wireless service.
Wireless users should report any faults to x2079 or e-mail gbobias@cuhsd.org
giving as much details as possible.
IV. Conditions:
All wireless users must adhere to copyright and license laws. The
wireless service must not be used for any illegal activity.
Use of the wireless services by staff, students or visitors is permitted
where such use is suitable for academic purposes, adheres to this AUP and
supports the goals and objectives of the District.
It is prohibited to use the wireless to attempt unauthorized access to
another computer or network devices (on or off campus).
All equipment connected to the Wireless service is responsibility of the
hardware owner. The computer owner will be held accountable for any misuse
identified on your Wireless equipment. The computer owner is responsible
for all network traffic originating from that Wireless connection.
Any reports or incidents received or monitored by the technology services,
regarding unauthorized or illegal access will result in immediate
disconnection from the wireless, pending further investigations. Where
necessary, information will be passed on to the relevant authorities.
All users must have anti-virus protection installed and that anti-virus
software protection is kept up-to-date. Users should also run a local
personal firewall (Windows built-in firewall is acceptable) and keep
operating system security patches up-to-date. |
