California High School Exit Exam

Beginning with the class of 2006, California requires that students pass the California High School Exit Exam in English Language Arts and Math, in addition to satisfying all other requirements, to receive a diploma. Students must take the exam one time in their 10th grade year, and if necessary, may take the exam twice as juniors and up to three times as seniors.
