Campbell Union High School District announced a vacancy on the Board of Trustees in Trustee Area Five due to the resignation of Kalen Gallagher effective September 1, 2022. The Board is required to appoint a provisional Board Member within 60 days. At a Special Board meeting on October 4, 2022, the Board of Trustees held interviews of qualified candidates and selected Anastatia "Aine" O'Donovan. Ms. O’Donovan will be sworn in and seated at the October 6, 2022, Regular Board Meeting.
It is further noticed that unless a petition calling for a special election containing a sufficient number of signatures is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment. The term of the appointment is through the remainder of Kalen Gallagher’s 2020-2024 term.
