Campbell Union High School District announced a vacancy on the Board of Trustees in Trustee Area Two due to the resignation of Kristiina Almeida effective February 11, 2022. The Board is required to appoint a provisional Board Member within 60 days. On March 31, 2022, the Board of Trustees held interviews of qualified candidates and selected Michael Winter. Mr. Winter was sworn in and seated at the March 31, 2022 Board Meeting.
It is further noticed that unless a petition calling for a special election containing a sufficient number of signatures is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment. The term of the appointment is through the remainder of Kristiina Almeida’s 2018-2022 term.
