The District convened a Bond Oversight Committee for Measure C, passed in 1999. The convening of this committee was optional. However, the District wished to continue public participation in the oversight of expenditures associated with the Bond measure to ensure that expenditures aligned with the intent of the Ballot Measure.
Upon the completion of Measure C, the District passed another Bond (Measure G) in 2006. An Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee exists for Measure G. All expenditures of Measure G are evaluated by the committee to ensure bond proceeds are expended only on the school facilities projects referenced in the ballot language.
We are excited to share with our community the passing of Measure AA on November 8, 2016. The members of our community continued to trust and provide their support by approving a $275,000,000 bond. We are excited to open the application process to become a member of the Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee for Measure AA. ACCEPTING CITIZENS’ OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEMBER APPLICATIONS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Campbell Union High School District is accepting applications from interested citizens to serve on the District’s independent oversight committee with respect to its general obligation bonds approved by District voters at the November 8, 2016 election, known as Measure AA. The Committee consists of at least seven members who meet, review and report on expenditures of funds to ensure money is used only for voter-approved purposes. Interested persons may obtain an application from the Superintendent’s Office, located at 3235 Union Ave., San Jose, CA 95124, or download the application from the District’s website. Applications are due by May 30, 2017 at the office of the Superintendent.
