One of the CUHSD strategic anchors is to offer multiple pathways for student learning, including extended and experienced-based opportunities. At the beginning of the school year, CUHSD entered a new dual enrollment partnership with West-Valley Mission Community College District (WVWCCD). We are proud to announce 95 CUHSD students have completed a community college course since the partnership launched. So far this semester, 205 CUHSD students are enrolled in a dual-enrollment course.
The program offers free enrollment to community college courses such as kinesiology, political science, and business. The courses can be used toward transfer credit, a career technical education (CTE) credential or certificate and CUHSD graduation requirements. All of the courses are taught at CUHSD high schools by WVMCCD instructors or qualified CUHSD teaching staff.
