Recent Westmont High School Graduate A Part of the Nation's First Class of Female Eagle Scouts

CUHSD students continue to pave the way for future generations. We are proud to share a student spotlight on a recent Westmont High School graduate, Sydney Whiting, who made history on February 8, 2021, by becoming a part of the nation’s first class of female Eagle Scouts!

Whiting is a member of Campbell Troop 2330, a geology and data science major at the University of Oregon and a graduate of the class of 2020 for Westmont High School. For her Eagle project, she built two redwood play boxes, one for sand and one for water, and painted a mural for the Southwest YMCA in Saratoga.

In February 2019 the Boy Scouts of America started welcoming girls into the organization. We are so proud of Sydney’s accomplishment!
