On April 6th, the Board of Trustees Recognized the achievements of the Leigh High School Competitive Cheer team.
The Leigh Longhorns won the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) - Central Coast Section (CCS) Championship in the Co-Ed Novice Large Traditional Show for the third year in a row in January of 2023. The team earned the highest collective score of all teams in the Competitive Cheer CCS tournament, earning the title of grand champions at the competition.
In addition to the CCS tournament, the Leigh Longhorns cheer team also competed in the 2023 United Spirit Association Spirit Nationals in February, where they won the national championship in the Co-Ed Varsity Show Cheer Novice Division. The Leigh team also earned first place at the JAMZ State Championships and first place and grand champions at 4 other regional competitions - a remarkable season for the team! Congratulations to the Leigh Cheer Team!

El 6 de abril, la Mesa Directiva reconoció los logros del equipo de Porristas Competitivas de la Escuela Secundaria Leigh.
Los Leigh Longhorns ganaron el Campeonato de la Sección de la Costa Central (CCS) de la Federación Interescolar de California (CIF) en el Gran Espectáculo Tradicional Co-Ed Novice por tercer año consecutivo en enero de 2023. El equipo obtuvo la puntuación colectiva más alta de todos los equipos en el torneo Competitive Cheer CCS, ganando el título de grandes campeones en la competencia.
Además del torneo CCS, el equipo de porristas de Leigh Longhorns también compitió en los Spirit Nationals de la Asociación United Spirit de 2023 en febrero, donde ganaron el campeonato nacional en la División de principiantes de porristas de Co-Ed Varsity Show. El equipo de Leigh también obtuvo el primer lugar en los campeonatos estatales de JAMZ y el primer lugar y grandes campeones en otras 4 competencias regionales: ¡una temporada extraordinaria para el equipo! ¡Felicitaciones al equipo de porristas de Leigh!
