The Board of Trustees recognized Branham High School’s Robotics Club, Bionic Bruins, for qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championship. The team was one of only 800 teams worldwide to qualify for the competition.
The team qualified for the world competition when Branham High School sophomore Kai Chua earned a spot by spending 67 hours working on a drone to win the online Mathworks challenge with MATLAB, an online programming challenge. This is the first time in the 12-year history of the club that students qualified for the VEX Robotics World Competition.
