Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,
As we begin the 2025–26 school year, I’m proud to reflect on the continued progress and success of our schools. Thanks to the dedication of our educators, the hard work of our students, and the strong support of our families and community, CUHSD continues to thrive.
This past year, we celebrated achievements including the following:
-
CUHSD is the only district in the county to receive a “green” rating across all categories on the California School Dashboard.
-
258 graduates earned the California State Seal of Biliteracy, and all six CUHSD high schools received a Certificate of Recognition from the Santa Clara County Office of Education for their leadership in Seal of Biliteracy Pathways
-
441 graduates completed a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway, preparing them for success in both college and career.
-
Our ELD Academy was awarded the prestigious Hoffman Award for its innovative and impactful programming.
-
Our Camden Post-Secondary program received a Golden Bell Award from the California School Boards Association.
-
Westmont High School was named a Project Lead The Way Distinguished School
-
Leigh High School was recognized nationally as a Blue Ribbon School.
We are continuing to expand dual enrollment and CTE pathway opportunities, giving more students access to college credit and hands-on, real-world experiences.
Thanks to the community for the passage of Measure P, the 2024 facilities bond measure, we are planning critical upgrades to modernize classrooms and infrastructure, —ensuring all students benefit from safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.
While we celebrate these achievements, our immediate focus is preparing our students, families, and staff for a strong start to the new school year. In that spirit, we’ve compiled the key resources you’ll need for a smooth start to 2025–26. We are committed to ensuring you have the tools and information you need to feel confident and connected from day one!
Back-to-School Information Guide
Where can I find information about the District and my student’s school?
Visit our district website at www.cuhsd.org for key back-to-school resources including:
-
Links to Each High School’s Website
Each school site maintains its own website with site-specific information, including upcoming events, bell schedules, school news, parent resources, and staff directories.
Cell Phone Policy
Thank you to our students and families for adjusting to last year’s implementation of our new cell phone policy. We appreciate your continued partnership in creating a focused learning environment. Based on feedback and our commitment to maintaining classroom engagement, we’ve made an important update: beginning this year, there will be no warnings for cell phone violations. Please review the updated policy, BP 5131.8, and help us reinforce these expectations for a successful school year.
Stay Connected & Be Part of Our School Community
Our primary tool for family communication is ParentSquare, where you’ll receive announcements, school updates, and emergency notifications. We also encourage families to stay connected through:
-
Site-Based Parent Committees (i.e. PTSA, School Site Council, Padres Unidos, etc.)
-
Connect with district and school site social media channels
-
CUHSD partners with Fresno State's Parent University to provide families workshops and courses focused on personal growth and development. Courses are FREE for all CUHSD families. Visit cuhsd.org/
ParentResources for more information.
Thank you for being a vital part of our CUHSD community. I look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and success.
In partnership,
Robert Bravo, Ed.D.
CUHSD Superintendent
