Meredyth joins us from Texas, where she has served as executive director of human capital management at the Dallas Independent School District since 2014. In this role, she has overseen a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment and selection, onboarding and retention, professional development and teacher preparation, performance management, and rewards and recognition.
Meredyth began her career in education as a special education teacher in a small community outside New Orleans. Her twenty years working in education have been driven by the belief that the teacher is the single most important factor in improving outcomes for students. Meredyth has recruited and selected teachers for high needs areas, developed teacher preparation programs, assisted both public school districts and universities with the development of high quality alternative certification programs, and has been involved with the design and implementation of teacher evaluation systems at the national level.
Meredyth holds an undergraduate degree in Political Economy and a master's in Business Administration. She will be moving to California from Texas. Her projected start date is September 1, 2016.
