CUHSD students participated in the recent midterm elections by volunteering, pre-registering fellow students and spreading the word about the importance of civic engagement.
Fifty-eight Branham High School students volunteered to be poll workers on election day. Additionally, Westmont High School students helped each other pre-register to vote in their government class. ABC7 News interviewed Westmont High School government teacher Eric Buran about a pre-registration initiative that he led with all of his government students to get them more civically engaged. The story also featured Westmont High School student Luke Sullivan, who voted for the first time this election.
