C.U.H.S.D. and C.H.S.T.A. Proposals for 2021-2022 School Year

CHSTA (Campbell High School Teacher's Association) and CUHSD completed negotiations for the 2021-2022 school year after engaging state-appointed mediators to assist in overcoming impasse.
Joint Statement from CUHSD and CHSTA: 
Campbell High Teachers Association (CHSTA) and Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) are pleased to share that we reached a tentative settlement for contract negotiations. With the support of the state-appointed mediators, the teams were able to reach an agreement that provides permanent salary increases and clarifies expectations within professional responsibilities-- including attendance at IEP and 504 meetings for students. The salary increase includes the following:
  • The $5,000 per salary cell from the 2020-21 schedule will be made permanent effective, July 1, 2021.
  •  A 3% salary increase will be added to the salary schedule, effective January 1, 2022.
As a result of the Tentative Agreement, CHSTA members have suspended their Work to Rule campaign. The Tentative Agreement, if ratified by CHSTA membership, will be presented to the CUHSD Board for approval at the January 20th Board meeting.

C.U.H.S.D. and C.S.E.A. Bargaining Proposals

The District and California School Employees Association (C.S.E.A.) have completed 2021-2022 Negotiations. The focus of negotiations is on total compensation and bargaining sessions began with a review of the District's financial outlook and compensation benchmarking information in order to ensure both parties have a shared understanding and strong foundation for negotiations.
The District provided a formal compensation offer that is equivalent to a 7.86% salary increase. The proposal provides options for how to apply the increase in order to address position that fall below the median. The CSEA negotiations team has decided to apply the percentage increase consistently across all bargaining unit members and not to apply a differentiated approach. The parties intend to sign the agreement soon and submit the agreement for ratification.
S.E.I.U. Tentative Agreement

The District and Service Employees Internation Union (SEIU 521) have completed 2021-2022 negotiations and have reached an agreement on compensation. The parties have agreed to a proposal that both provides an increase to all positions and allocates funds to realign salaries for positions that are below the median, which was one of our shared goals. This proposal equates to a 7.86% increase to the bargaining unit as a whole (unrestricted positions).
