Safety/Emergency Planning

 

All schools within the Campbell Union High School District have safety plans that are compliant with federal, state, and local emergency and disaster protocols. They are updated and approved by our Board of Trustees each year. School and district officials meet yearly with representatives from police, fire and other emergency responders to insure that joint planning is reflected in all documentation and training procedures.

 

Complete maps and plans are in the hands of all emergency response agencies, emergency and disaster training for employees is updated as needed, and drills and simulations take place at the schools on a regular basis throughout the year. Also, directions and procedures for a variety of emergency scenarios are posted prominently in each classroom.

 

In addition, the district office maintains contact with each of our school sites through telephone, emergency back-up telephone, computer, cellular and radio communication systems.
