Intradistrict Transfers
Intradistrict Transfers
What is an Intradistrict Transfer?
An Intradistrict Transfer allows students residing within the Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD) boundaries to apply to attend a different CUHSD school other than their designated home school.
Getting Started
- Designated Home School: Use the School Locator (opens in new tab) to determine your resident school.
- Enrollment for New Residents: New residents must enroll in their home school before submitting a transfer application. Visit our Enrollment Page.
Process & Decisions
- Notification: You will receive an email with the decision. Denials are typically due to lack of space at the requested site.
- Waitlist & Expiration: Unapproved requests are held until a lottery in September. All requests expire at the end of September annually.
- Reversal: To return to your original resident school after an approval, you must submit a new request marked as a "Reversal."
Important Policy Notes
- Withdrawal: Withdrawing from the district nullifies the transfer; a new request is required upon return.
- Transportation: Per Board Policy 5116.1, the district is not obligated to provide transportation for students attending school outside their attendance area.
If denied, you can appeal the decision by emailing the Assistant Superintendent of Education Services-Administrative Assistant Christina Kaline at [email protected] for a review meeting. The decision from the review is final.
